I want to say a HUGE thank you to all those who were involved in Thursday night’s event! My good friend, Sarah Millar, hosted a “Piloxing and Silent Auction” fundraiser to support myself and the thousands of other Canadians diagnosed with Lung Cancer every year. I can’t say enough how grateful I am for the never-ending support and had an amazing time at the event! I also have to add, that as a person living with advanced stage lung cancer and currently in treatment, I was able to complete the entire hour long workout class and had a BLAST! (#LIVINGwithlungcancer!!!) I will be presenting a cheque to Lung Cancer Canada on Thursday with the money raised from the “just breathe” bracelets so far and from this fundraiser!
Sarah is also donating 100% of her Stella and Dot jewelry commission from this month to Lung Cancer Research so please feel free to shop at the following link to find beautiful jewelry to pair with your “just breathe” bracelets! (Isn’t she the best?!)
We have already sold hundreds of “just breathe” bracelets and it is only mid-way through November! I am ecstatic and so thankful that these are able to help with Lung Cancer Awareness and Research and spreading the word that ANYONE with LUNGS can get LUNG CANCER! These bracelets are made in Canada, genuine leather and proceeds go to help with Lung Cancer Research! They make great stocking stuffers too!! Click the link below to shop now.
Lastly, a reminder that I am speaking at the Ottawa Evening of Hope Gala next Thursday and there are only 60 tickets left!! Don’t miss out on a great event to support Lung Cancer Canada (and have an excuse to dress up!). With each ticket purchased you will get fantastic beers from Waller St. Brewing, Whitewater Brewing Company and Broken Stick Brewing Company, wonderful wine from Cattail Creek Estate Winery, a Catertainment style culinary adventure from Tulips & Maple Catering, live performances by Carl Daniel Quartet and a $20 tax receipt!
Stay tuned for another amazing Lung Cancer fundraiser that will be happening in the coming weeks! I’ll have more details soon!
Here are a few pictures from the event by my wonderfully talented friend Melanie Boileau from Melanie Photography.
So happy the evening was a success. Jo Hunter and I each have bracelets. I am sending you positive thoughts. Hugs Marg Gordon
